Mentally, I’m already in summer mode. My coworkers have scolded me for the fact that I’ve been wearing sandals for the past two months, but I can’t help it, summer is my season and the closer we get to the warmer weather, the happier my wardrobe is. Spring/summer dressing is my favorite simply because of the ease – there’s no fussy layering and styling required, it’s as easy as pulling on a dress or an oversized shirt and linen, and you’re good to go. This perfect spring outfit is when you take a ’90s trending trouser: the capri, and a ’90s staple shoe: the flip flop, and elevate both with sharp tailoring, funnel neck jackets, and cute accessories like basket bags and printed scarves. Did I see this trend coming? No, but now here I am wondering what I was wearing earlier. Equally polished and practical, it’s the ideal pair for hot weekends and busy travel days.
