Over the past year, we’ve seen one unlikely pant trend after another make a comeback after a long hiatus. To name a few, we have seen cigarette pants, skinny jeans, capris (These are all slim-fitting pant trends, I might add), but there’s a new trend that deserves the next spotlight, and Anya Taylor-Joy It also seems so. While attending the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix over the weekend, Taylor-Joy wore Inspired by Y2K The edgy and cool pant trend outfit that’s officially made a comeback: the low-rise bootcut pant.
Her leather pants were made by FRAME, which she paired with a vintage contrast-stitched, multicolored top from Jean Paul Gaultier’s 1991 collection. She wore a pair of sunglasses designed by Jimmy Fairley and hit the track in a pair of bright red heeled sandals. gave this look Charlie’s AngelsIMHO. It was edgy, cool, and very Y2K-coded. I’m not surprised that fashion people, including Taylor-Joy, still can’t get enough of that era. Low-rise pants aren’t a new trend, and they’ve come back many times before, but this time, people are leaning toward this particular slim-fit, bootcut silhouette. This dress shows me all the proof I need.
