I know you know the original Devil Wears Prada‘s dresses are like the back of your hand. Chanel shoes, newsboy hat, lumpy blue sweater (which Meryl Streep recently recreated), Prada coat. The wardrobe was as memorable as Miranda’s one-liners. However, you might not remember what the cast wore during the original press tour in 2006.
The OG cast attended red carpets, screenings, and photocalls to promote the film wearing some of the biggest fashion trends of the early 2000s, including babydoll dresses, peep-toe platforms, and low-rise bootcut jeans. If you can believe it, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt were both only 23 when the film hit theaters. My teenage self definitely thought they were older than that! Scroll down to see what Hathaway, Blunt, Streep, Stanley Tucci and Adrian Grenier wore to the 2006 press tour. the devil Wears Prada. See you in theaters on May 1 for the sequel.
