Tom Holland’s upcoming Spider-Man film is facing intense criticism ahead of its release.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is nearing its release date of July 31 and the filmmakers are still making changes and additions to the film.
According to Tom’s recent statement to GQ, they are reshooting some scenes to add more humor to the upcoming MCU film.
“We’re looking for some ways to add a little more humor. We’re taking a fresh take on a villainous story and coming up with some really funny stuff,” he told the outlet.
The 30-year-old actor said, “I can say positively that the work we are doing, we don’t need it… the film moves and sings as it is. We are just adding icing on the cake in some areas.”
However, Tom’s fans are clearly unhappy with his statement as they expressed mixed feelings about the move.
“This sucks, if you don’t know how to feel about it, that means the movie will be crap and exactly like the last 3,” one person wrote on X.
“When Did Adding Another Villain Work? Why Do We Need More Cheesy MCU One-Liners?”. Another commented.
