IVG pays tuition and mandatory fees at all IL state-sponsored institutions. The MIA/POW scholarship covers tuition, fees, room and board. Can be combined with federal VA benefits
Child of Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient Program
Children of disabled veterans or Purple Heart recipients who are residents of IN
Fee waiver (tuition waiver) up to 124 credit hours at IN state-supported colleges and universities.
Kansas Hero’s Scholarship
Spouses, unmarried surviving spouses, and dependent children of service members KIA, MIA, POW, or those with an 80%+ service-connected disability

Tuition waiver at public institutions for up to 4 years for bachelor’s and up to 2 years for master’s degree. Other federal aid/grants may be reduced

Texas Giants (Hazelwood); Dependent through inheritance transfer of unused hours

Virginia Military Survivors and Dependents Education Program (VMSDEP)
Children (ages 16-29) and spouses of 90%+ permanently disabled category veterans or who were KIA/MIA/POW; The VA must be home to the veteran’s records for 5+ years
Waiver of all tuition and mandatory fees for up to 8 semesters at VA public colleges/universities and EVMS. This may also include a stipend for room, board, books, and supplies.
WA State Dependent Tuition Waiver
Children (ages 17-26) and surviving spouses/domestic partners of veterans who died in service, are 100% disabled, or are MIA/POW; Must be a resident of WA
Waiver of all undergraduate tuition and fees at WA state institutions for up to 200 quarter credits. Book stipends may be available if funded by the legislature
WI veterans and their dependents (veteran must be a resident of WI for 5+ consecutive years at the time of entry into service and prior to enrollment)
Full tuition and approved fees for up to 8 semesters or 128 credits at any UW System or WI Technical College System school
