Anne Hathaway wore the vintage jeans trend that’s totally back

We all know how quickly denim trends come and go, but sometimes when they’re “gone” they’re gone for a long time. This is actually a case of the clear return of the latest denim trend. The trend I’m talking about is frayed-hem jeans. We’ve been seeing them all over Instagram this year, and we’ve spotted them en masse among the stylish attendees of various fashion months. And now, we’re seeing them on celebrities like Anne Hathaway, who has been very busy promoting the devil wears prada 2.

After a long finished-hem hiatus in which people almost exclusively wore finished-hem jeans, the former was about to make a comeback. For example, about ten years ago my closet was full of them and now recently my closet has become devoid of them. But I recently purchased a ragged hem pair of Reformation jeans, and I’m enjoying the cool, comfortable touch they add to my outfits. I especially love wearing them with heels, as the contrast is so striking. Just take a look at Hathaway’s dress for proof. She paired beautiful pointed-toe pumps with a cropped black blazer and wide-leg frayed-hem jeans and the resulting look is worth copying.
