Last year, there was a lot of buzz after Sydney Sweeney was spotted arriving on The Devil Wears Prada 2 set.
Reports at the time indicated that the Euphoria actress filmed a cameo in the highly anticipated sequel.
Now, ahead of the release of the film, a bombshell report has surfaced stating that his scene was cut due to a creative decision.
A source tells Entertainment Weekly that the team behind The Devil Wears Prada 2 made a difficult decision to remove the sensational actress’ scene because it didn’t “fit” with the flow of the film.
Despite this, buzz for the fashion film continues, as franchise veterans Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt return.
But there are also new faces, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, BJ Novak, Simon Ashley, Caleb Hearon, Patrick Brammall, Rachel Bloom and Kenneth Branagh.
The film’s logline is as follows “When Miranda Priestly is on the last legs of her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing, she is forced into a high-stakes standoff with her former assistant Emily Charlton, who now controls the luxury advertising dollars. Priestley desperately needs to save the runway.”
The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters May 1.
