OnePlus has been teasing the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra a lot before confirming its launch in China on April 28, and now we getting official form In both its color options. One of them, called Metal Storm, is exactly what it sounds like.
According to OnePlus, Metal Storm uses a silk glass process to create a hard metallic sheen on the back panel. The finish is also fingerprint-resistant, which is a welcome touch on a phone of this size. The second option, Ace Awakening, goes in a completely different direction. It uses a 3D stereoscopic engraving process to create a pattern that reveals purple letters when the light catches it at the right angle.
What else has OnePlus confirmed
The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is shaping up to be a serious spec sheet. OnePlus China head Lewis Ji has confirmed the 165Hz display developed with BOE, and the official pre-order listing in China fills out the rest. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip and comes with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM on the top configuration. It also has an 8,600mAh battery with 120W wired charging. For a phone that’s already confirmed to launch with a dedicated gaming controller, battery capacity matters a lot.
Storage configurations reportedly range from 12GB + 256GB to 16GB + 1TB. The display is a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED panel with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra runs OxygenOS 16 on top of Android 16 out of the box.
The Ace series has always been a China-exclusive, and OnePlus hasn’t said anything about a global release for it. The price has also not been officially announced yet. However, April 28th is just a few days away, so we should have more details next week.
