Princess Margaret shared two of her thoughts about Princess Diana and King Charles’s wedding while she was alive.
Queen Elizabeth II’s only sister, Margaret, blamed nephew Charles for mistreating Diana from the beginning of their marriage.
Margaret reportedly told royal biographer Hugo Vickers, “The trouble was that from the beginning he constantly underestimated her (Diana) and gave her no support.” “Then he started having problems with the kids, which was the cause of all the trouble last year.”
Margaret then compared Diana’s marriage to her marriage to Tony Snowdon.
“It was the same with me and Tony (Lord Snowdon). He wore me down.”
Princess Margaret then discouraged Diana’s return to Sandringham with the royals at Christmas 1993.
According to the author, she told Vickers, “I don’t know why she (Sandringham) wanted to come back.” “I wanted to tell him to go away.”
