The Superman follow-up, Man of Tomorrow, is not a true sequel, as revealed by director James Gunn, with Adrian Arjona cast in a role that has been kept under wraps.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Endor actress reportedly gets the top-secret role after beating out three other stars in the final race: Eva De Dominic, Sydney Chandler and Grace Van Patten.
Her casting came on the heels of reports that she might play an alien queen named Maxima who entangles Superman as both enemy and lover, as revealed in Action Comics No. 645 in 1989.
Now, key casting has been set for the Man of Tomorrow, with David Corenswet playing Superman, Nicholas Hoult playing Lex Luthor, Rachel Brosnahan playing Lois Lane, and Lars Eidinger playing Brainiac.
The DC film will be released on July 9, 2027.
