Bruce Springsteen put his feud aside for a moment and expressed gratitude for the safety of President Donald Trump and other officials following the White House shooting.<\/p>\n
The singer, who has been openly critical of Trump for years, took a moment during the opening of his show in Austin on Sunday night to acknowledge the firing at the White House correspondent’s dinner on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
The boss began his message with a “pray of thanks” that neither the resident, nor anyone in administration, nor anyone present were injured.<\/p>\n
Springsteen continued, “We can disagree, we can be critical of those in power, and we can peacefully fight for our beliefs, but there is no room for political violence of any kind in any way, shape, or form in our beloved United States of America.”<\/p>\n
\u200bFor those who don’t know, during the correspondents dinner on April 25, a shooter attempted to enter the White House with weapons and opened fire outside the ballroom. Despite gunfire, President Donald Trump and other officials escaped unharmed.<\/p>\n
