Earlier in the week, the index was down about 0.9% for the week, and key US benchmarks ended several sessions about 0.6% lower as investors prepared for a possible end to the ceasefire.<strong>Ceasefire extension brings relief to risky assets, but oil remains under pressure.<\/strong> The delay in talks to extend the US-Iran ceasefire and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz led to selling in the market, due to which the price of crude oil increased by almost 5% intraday.
