According to the company, the seed round is the largest ever in Europe, valued at $5.1 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The round was co-led by US venture capitalists Sequoia and Lightspeed, with participation from <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"RegularArticle-QuoteInBody-1\">NVIDIA<span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"\/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span>DST Global, Index, <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"RegularArticle-QuoteInBody-2\">Google<span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"\/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span>    and the UK&#8217;s Sovereign AI Fund, among others. <\/p>\n<p>Infinite Intelligence will focus on reinforcement learning, which is when AI models learn from experience as opposed to human data. This is compared to several leading AI models that are trained on Internet text.<\/p>\n<p>Silver said the company&#8217;s goal is to &#8220;transcend the greatest inventions in human history such as language, science, mathematics and technology.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our mission is to make first contact with a superintelligence,&#8221; Silver said in a statement. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are building a superlearner who draws on experience to learn everything from early motor skills to profound intellectual breakthroughs,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"ArticleBody-subtitle\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" id=\"headline0\"\/>Big Tech brain drain fuels startup boom<\/h2>\n<div class=\"group\">\n<p>Silver is one of several former top researchers at Big Tech companies who have leapt to launch their own AI labs in recent months, with investors pouring billions of dollars into the ventures. <\/p>\n<p>Last week, a month-old startup called Recursive Superintelligence \u2014 founded by former Google DeepMind engineer Tim Rocktashell \u2014 was <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/a92bf04b-bbac-400f-9554-5b1c70957ad4?syn-25a6b1a6=1\">informed<\/a> Up to $1 billion will be raised, according to the Financial Times.
