Jordan Wright, 33, who was on ITV’s The Only Way Is Essex as well as MTV’s Ex on the Beach, tragically died in a drainage canal near Bang Tao Beach in Phuket, Thailand. His body was reportedly found lying face down in standing water at around 12.30 pm on Saturday, March 14, by a passerby who contacted the police. Before his death, CCTV captured him running outside a nearby hotel, “looking restless”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Officers at Choeung Thale Police Station were informed, and the Crime Asia Facebook page shared details, identifying the body as that of a 33-year-old British national. A keycard from the Coco Phuket Bangtao Hotel was found in his pocket, his iPhone 17 was reportedly found on a nearby canal bank.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
His body was taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital for an autopsy, and investigators said there were no signs of a struggle or physical attack.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Police chief Suthirak Chuthong said in a statement: “The guest was identified as Mr. Jordan Wright, a British national, whom the hotel was unable to contact. A search of the room revealed no signs of forced entry or other irregularities.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The chief said: \u201c Hotel records showed he checked in alone and was due to check out on March 13, but staff reported he never checked out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
“CCTV footage showed that he appeared restless and was pacing back and forth in front of the hotel before leaving the area. His movements ultimately led to the location where his body was later found.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
