If you have one of Amazon’s Kindle Scribe ColorSoft tablets, you’ll want to check your device for a software update \u2014 it looks like Amazon is bringing new visual changes to the product line, aThis has been confirmed by Panos Panay<\/a>The company’s senior vice president of equipment and services.<\/p>\n

That said, the update includes a new system-wide dark mode \u2013 unlike previous versions limited to specific menus, users can now apply dark mode to the entire device interface. This includes the Home Screen, Library, and Scribe Notebook in addition to the standard reading experience. The update also brings new customization settings, allowing users to manually toggle the mode or schedule it for specific times of the day. Additionally, the Kindle Scribe will receive “Smart Shapes”, a new productivity tool designed for digital note taking. It’s accessible directly from the toolbar in the notebook, and allows users to instantly insert structured lines, arrows, circles, triangles, and rectangles.
