But as April 2026 ends, the company is doing something different. Many of us have been double-checking our software update screens as the second April patch is being surprisingly released for Samsung&#8217;s flagship phones.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"e_e e_L\">\n<p>Earlier in April, the Galaxy S26 and S25 already received their scheduled updates. They are brand new versions that have not appeared in update trackers before.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"e_e e_L\">\n<p>The standard Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra are getting the AZDG build. The Galaxy S25 series, including the S25 Edge, is moving to manufacture BZCL. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 are also getting the update.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"e_e e_L\">\n<p>While the S26 and S25 are getting their second update this month, the Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 are getting their first April security update, just before the month ends.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"e_e e_L\">\n<p>That said, there are no new features to report yet, but Samsung only sends a second monthly update when it&#8217;s critical for stability or security.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"e_e e_L\">\n<p>You can check for updates manually by going <strong>settings<\/strong>Then <strong>software update<\/strong>and select <strong>Download and Install<\/strong>. We&#8217;ll look into these builds to see if there are any hidden fixes.
