The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra gaming phone is now official \u2013 and so is the new gaming controller that was designed for the phone. Unlike its siblings, the Ace 6 and Ace 6T, the Ultra is powered by a MediaTek chipset \u2013 the Dimensity 9500 \u2013 which promises 165fps gaming on six popular games, including League of Legends: Wild Rift<\/i>, clash of clans<\/i>, soul night<\/i> And subway Surfer<\/i>.<\/p>\n

The Dimensity 9500 chip features a Mali-G1 Ultra GPU with 12 cores that promises more than double the ray tracing performance compared to the previous generation and a 33% overall improvement in performance. The octa-core CPU delivers a 32% increase in single-core performance thanks to ARM C1-Ultra cores.<\/p>\n

The phone is powered by the second largest battery ever in a OnePlus phone. It has a dual-cell design with an 8,600mAh capacity and can last up to 7.4 hours of gaming or 13.6 hours of navigation at 165fps. The battery is rated for 5 years of use.<\/p>\n

The phone supports bypass charging, which allows it to save battery and run cooler when external power is available. The battery supports 120W fast charging \u2013 it gets to 53% in 20 minutes and 100% in 49 minutes.<\/p>\n

The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra features a 6.78″ OLED display (BOE) with a 1,272 x 2,772px resolution. It’s a 10-bit panel with Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. It can reach 3,600 nits at 25% APL and uses a combination of DC dimming (up from 70 nits). High-frequency PWM dimming (below 70 nits).<\/p>\n

The phone can be used with the new gaming controller, but that is sold separately. The controller adds four back buttons (with a 1.8ms response time). However, there are no joysticks or face buttons.<\/p>\n

What it does do is add an extra antenna for a stronger signal, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C charging port at the bottom. Additionally, it has a magnetic attachment point for the cooling fan (also sold separately). The controller has a retractable design, so it should support other phones as well.<\/p>\n

Moving on, the Ace 6 Ultra sports a 50MP main camera on the rear with a 1\/1.55″ sensor and an f\/1.8 lens with OIS. It also has an 8MP ultra-wide (f\/2.2 16mm lens). The selfie camera has a 16MP sensor and the same 23mm focal length as the main camera on the back. The rear camera can record 4K video up to 60fps, the selfie camera can record 1080p 30fps video But top out.<\/p>\n

The frame of the phone is aluminum alloy, while the screen is protected by tempered glass. The back panel is either another sheet of tempered glass (for the Ace Awakening colourway) or regular glass (for the Metal Storm variant).<\/p>\n

The phone has symmetrically placed stereo speakers and an X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback. There is an ultrasonic fingerprint reader below the display. The USB-C port on the bottom is only wired for USB 2.0, so don’t expect video out (which feels like a missed opportunity for a gaming phone).<\/p>\n

The phone is rated IP66 (splash), IP68 (dip) and IP69K (hot water jet).<\/p>\n
