It definitely feels like Google is creating a new framework to allow the Pixel Launcher’s search bar to interface with Android apps and search through the content within. While it may start with Google Photos, some of those strings seem so generic that we think Google intends to leave the door open for additional apps \u2014 maybe Google will eventually connect it to your Workspace apps so you can access Docs paperwork or stuff you save to Drive from this same location.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Google has been quite aggressive with Pixel Launcher search changes recently, so it’s entirely possible that we might get a chance to see this in action soon. However, this is all speculation right now, and while we’re optimistic about the potential of this tool, we’ll want to wait and see how Google ultimately delivers it before getting too excited.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
