At least three Palestinians have been killed in Israeli drone strikes in war-torn Gaza, nearly two-and-a-half years into Israel’s genocidal war on the enclave, as severely limited medical evacuations resumed at the Rafah border crossing.<\/p>\n

Doctors at Gaza City’s al-Shifa hospital said two people were killed in a drone strike in the Zitoun neighborhood in the eastern part of Gaza City.<\/p>\n

In a separate attack, a drone strike on a group of people in another area of \u200b\u200beastern Gaza City, outside the so-called “Yellow Line”, killed one person and wounded another. An unknown number of Palestinians were injured in Thursday’s attacks.<\/p>\n

Israel’s war on Gaza has killed more than 72,000 people, including thousands of children and women. Some independent researchers believe the actual number of deaths is much higher.<\/p>\n

The attacks came as a limited group of wounded Palestinians were evacuated from Gaza through the Rafah crossing with Egypt following a 19-day blockade by Israel since it began bombing Iran.<\/p>\n

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said only eight Palestinians and 17 of their family members injured in Israeli strikes during the Gaza war will be allowed to cross into Egypt for medical treatment after the crossing, seen as a lifeline for Palestinians, reopened on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Several ambulances were seen waiting to evacuate patients from the area.<\/p>\n

Since reopening the crossing in early February as part of an October 2025 ceasefire agreement, Israel has restricted medical evacuations and prevented Palestinians from returning home \u2013 which it has violated almost daily since then.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
