(WORTH NEWS) \u2013 The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced a historic increase in child protection efforts, revealing that more than 6,200 missing children will be recovered in 2025 \u2013 an increase of more than 30 percent from the previous year.<\/p>\n

According to FBI Director Kash Patel, approximately 2,700 of those children were victims of exploitation, highlighting the severity of the dangers facing vulnerable youth across the country.<\/p>\n

The Bureau’s intense operations led to the arrest of 1,700 child predators and more than 300 human traffickers, while 764 criminal networks linked to exploitation were dismantled. Authorities also shut down more than 3.8 million pedophile accounts on the dark web, in what officials described as an unprecedented digital crackdown.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the FBI reported more than 435 arrests related to investigations of violent crimes against children, resulting in more than 300 indictments. Arrests related to online exploitation and nihilistic violent extremism increased by 490 percent compared to 2024.<\/p>\n

“We rebuilt the FBI, expanded agents out of Washington and into communities, expanded intelligence sharing, and deployed advanced technology and AI to hunt down predators faster than ever before,” Patel said. He said the agency has remained “relentless in protecting children” under the leadership of President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Federal data underscores the scale of the crisis. Nearly 30,000 children were reported missing in 2024 through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, while comprehensive Justice Department data reported more than 349,000 missing youth cases nationwide. Many involve family-related abductions, online luring, or children fleeing unstable environments.<\/p>\n

Recent operations have demonstrated the effectiveness of coordinated enforcement. The US Marshals Service’s “Operation Safe Return” led to the rescue of 37 children in Southern California and several arrests, with many of the victims identified as survivors of sex trafficking or abuse.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, border czar Tom Homan revealed that authorities have detected more than 145,000 illegal immigrant children who were previously unaccounted for. These children are part of more than 300,000 unaccompanied minors who were largely released to unknown sponsors under the prior administration.<\/p>\n

“President Trump promised we would find these children,” Homan said. \u201cUnder his strong leadership and with his unwavering support, the Patriots at these and other partner agencies have and will continue to do just that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The developments point to a broader shift in federal priorities, where aggressive enforcement, interagency coordination, and technological innovation are being leveraged to confront exploitative networks and restore accountability. Officials say the mission is not over yet – but the momentum is growing as more children are found, rescued and given a path back to safety.<\/p>\n
