I feel that many of the thoughts inside me are negative about myself. &#8220;Kent, what were you thinking?&#8221; &#8220;You keep doing that&#8230;&#8221; &#8220;Now they&#8217;ll think you&#8217;re stupid.&#8221; And so on.<\/p>\n<p>The truth is that we often have good reasons to sabotage ourselves. We mess up. Daily.<\/p>\n<p>So we need to go to the Bible and remind ourselves what God thinks of us. This beautiful text from 1 Peter helps us see how blessed and loved we are. We have been chosen by God to be part of His family. It means we are royalty. We are princesses and princes in the kingdom of God, the Lord of the universe. We are also a priest, which means that we have been consecrated, consecrated, and dedicated to the One who is completely holy and holy. And we are called to praise this wonderful God who has called us \u201cout of darkness and into his wonderful light.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Very good! We&#8217;re not complete idiots! No other creature in the universe is as ready for them as we are. Oh, of course, we haven&#8217;t seen the final product yet. But what Peter describes is the reality that God sees, and that is the reality we need to see.<\/p>\n<p>When you&#8217;re tempted to be negative, try talking to yourself like this: &#8220;Yes, I&#8217;ve messed up.
