JP Morgan accuses Chirayu Rana of fabricating Lorna Hajdini lawsuit claims<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\nLorna Hazdini, a senior executive director at JPMorgan, is facing a lawsuit filed by a male employee accusing her of sexual harassment and racial abuse. <\/p>\n
JPMorgan Chase & Co. is defending the lawsuit, claiming that the allegations are false and were fabricated by the former employee, identified as Chirayu Rana. <\/p>\n
The lawsuit was initially filed under the pseudonym “John Doe”, alleging that Hajdini engaged in various overt and covert harassing tactics, including racial slurs, sexual harassment, and drugging the employee. <\/p>\n
However, soon after the lawsuit was filed, JPMorgan launched an internal investigation to uncover the truth. During the internal investigation, the company examined the phone records and emails of all employees. But they did not find any evidence to confirm Rana’s allegations. <\/p>\n
After Hazdini stood firm, a spokesperson released a statement following the investigation, saying, “After investigation, we do not believe these claims have any merit.”<\/p>\n
“While several employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and refused to provide facts that would be central to supporting her allegations.”<\/p>\n
according to New York Post<\/i>Rana was not even working under Hajdini, as alleged in the lawsuit. In reality, they were just colleagues working in the finance team.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has tarnished her in a completely fabricated way,\u201d one of the sources close to Hajdini told T.That New York Post.<\/i><\/p>\n
Although Hajdini has not yet made any statement regarding these allegations, his lawyers have denied the claims. <\/p>\n
She also noted that she “never visited the location where the alleged sexual assault occurred.”<\/p>\n
Initially, the court documents were withdrawn for redaction, but the company sought damages for tarnishing its reputation, which took a huge toll on its earnings. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
