Valve is finally ready to release its new Steam Controller, with sales starting on May 4th. Something else that will launch on the same day could be the Steam Controller’s first third-party accessory. The mechanism features a new basegrip designed to fit Valve’s new gamepad.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

If you add the Steam Link app to the equation, which streams your Steam library, you have almost a makeshift Steam deck on your hands. However, Mechanism notes that the Steam Link app does not work on all Android and iOS devices yet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nAlong with the phone mount, BaseGrip will also work with the company’s upcoming Steam Controller Dock. This dock not only props up the controller for your display, but it also allows you to keep the gamepad charged. The doc is expected to be available in June, but you can sign up to join the waiting list.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nAs previously reported, BaseGrip for the Steam Controller will launch next Monday. When that happens, it will be available on the mechanism’s website for $9. However, if you have a 3D printer, you can download the files for free to make your own basegrip and “stripped down dock.” Meanwhile, the phone mount costs $25 and there’s no price for the dock yet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
