Have you ever faced something that felt like it was blocking your path and you couldn’t get past it? There will always be things in life that will try to stop us from our desired destinations. The enemy of our souls wants nothing more than to see us trapped and unable to accomplish what God has planned for us!

However sometimes, the obstruction may occur due to some reason. What is God trying to show us? What do we need to change about ourselves or surrender to God to get to the next place? Often the obstacle is not what we think. Sometimes, the obstacle is ourselves! Even if we think we’re right, the obstacle exists Our Development.

The Israelites were on their way to flee from the Egyptians after being freed from slavery under the harsh hand of Pharaoh. But, as soon as they left Egypt, Pharaoh ordered them to be pursued. “As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and the Egyptians were following them. They became afraid and cried out to the Lord. They said to Moses, ‘Have you brought us into the wilderness to die because there are no tombs in Egypt?'” -Exodus 14:10 & 11. Obviously, this was not what they had in mind.

Then Moses said to them, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the salvation that the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you just need to remain calm.” Exodus 14:13 & 14 “Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord turned the sea by a strong east wind all night, and turned the sea into dry land.” (v.21)

Naturally the Israelites had no way of escaping the Egyptians. But because Moses stood in faith on behalf of the Israelites and acted in obedience – despite dire circumstances – God stepped in and made a way for them.

Is there a “Red Sea” standing in your way today? Pray for God’s grace to overcome that situation, and ask to see it through His eyes.
