Buenos Aires, Argentina — <\/span>Stevie Young, guitarist of the famous Australian rock band AC\/DC, was hospitalized in Buenos Aires, days before performing in the city as part of the band’s “Power Up” world tour.<\/p>\n Young, the nephew of the band’s late founder Malcolm Young, was not feeling well, according to a statement released Thursday by the event promoter. As a precautionary measure, he was admitted to a local hospital, where he is undergoing several tests.<\/p>\n The cause of Young’s condition, 69, has not been specified.<\/p>\n A spokesperson said, “Stevie is doing well and in good condition.” “He can’t wait to get on stage on Monday.”<\/p>\n AC\/DC are scheduled to play three sold-out concerts at Buenos Aires’ Monumental Stadium \u2013 which has a capacity of up to 85,000 \u2013 on March 23, 27 and 31. The first date quickly sold out, prompting the band to add two more shows.<\/p>\n The last time the band performed in Argentina was in 2009, when approximately 200,000 fans attended their concert.<\/p>\n The group arrived at Buenos Aires’ Aziza International Airport on Wednesday afternoon after performing in Santiago, Chile, and is expected to play in Mexico City in early April.<\/p>\n Stevie Young has been the band’s guitarist since 2014, when his uncle resigned due to health problems.
