King Charles is reminiscing about fond memories with younger sister Princess Anne.<\/p>\n
Her Majesty, who recently attended a garden party in Bermuda, talked about the children’s time traveling on the Royal Yacht Britannia.<\/p>\n
Her Majesty then congratulated Bermuda on Friday, saying: “I hardly need to say that Bermuda, like all overseas territories, is a much-loved and valued member of the British family \u2013 with such solid friendships as this so-called ‘rock’ and especially to my own family.”<\/p>\n
He added: “Bermuda clearly has an affectionate resonance. Sadly, few of us are old enough to remember that my mother and father, the late Queen and the late Duke of Edinburgh, made Bermuda the first stop on their coronation tour in 1953.”<\/p>\n
He added: “Of course, my parents have come on other occasions and likewise, my sister, the Princess Royal, has been here many times \u2013 she goes everywhere in the world and I can’t stand it.”<\/p>\n
He said it was “a big deal” to be invited back.<\/p>\n
He said, “I was surprised to learn that this is the “first time” in Bermuda’s four hundred year history that the islands have had a reigning monarch.” “I’m so sorry it took so long!”<\/p>\n
“I have had the pleasure of meeting so many special people from the islands, including, as far as I can understand, half of today’s population.”<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
