Iranian media reported yesterday that the regime has submitted a new 14-point proposal to mediators to end the war permanently.<\/p>\n

A senior Iranian official outlined elements of the agreement on the table, including ending the war with guarantees that Israel and the US would not attack again.<\/p>\n

Opening of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran and lifting of its blockade by the US are also part of this framework.<\/p>\n

The “Strait of Hormuz Management Plan” has been unveiled by Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Nikzad, who said it has 12 sections.<\/p>\n

There are three main Israeli ships that are believed to never pass through the strait.<\/p>\n

Ships from “belligerent countries”, believed to be a reference to US and Middle Eastern enemies, must pay war reparations if they wish to pass through.<\/p>\n

Finally, any other ships will be allowed to transit the vital waterway only if they first obtain “Iran’s permission.”<\/p>\n

Nikzad described the proposal as “as important as the nationalization of the oil industry”.<\/p>\n

He also warned that shipping in the strait would never return to what it was pre-war when ships were allowed to pass freely.<\/p>\n

Another important point that is yet to be agreed upon between the US and Iran is Tehran’s nuclear program.<\/p>\n

A possible deal is being negotiated under which the government’s nuclear program would be monitored in exchange for the lifting of US sanctions.<\/p>\n

The US must also recognize Iran’s right to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes.<\/p>\n

“Within this framework, negotiations on the more complex nuclear issue have been moved to the final stage to create a more suitable environment for agreement,” the official said.<\/p>\n

When Trump was asked about the Iran proposal before boarding his flight, he said he still had not been given “the exact words” but that he had been told about “the concept of the deal.” <\/p>\n

Addressing the resumption of attacks on Iranian soil, he said: “I don’t want to say that. I mean, I can’t tell that to a reporter.” <\/p>\n

“If they misbehave, if they do something bad, right now we’ll see. But there’s a possibility that it could happen.”<\/p>\n

Trump said Friday that \u2014 “on humanitarian grounds” \u2014 he did not prioritize military action and told congressional leaders he did not need their permission to escalate the war. deadline<\/span> determined by Law<\/span> For that day because the armistice had “ended” hostilities.<\/p>\n
