Steve Irwin’s wife Terri snaps at son Robert’s shirtless shoot with wildlife<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\nTerry Irwin recently highlighted one thing that his son Robert Irwin didn’t learn from his late father Steve Irwin.<\/p>\n
At the Steve Irwin Gala in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 2, People <\/i>The magazine met with Terry and Robert for an interview, where they admitted that it feels “incredibly special” to carry on the legacy of the late conservationist, environmentalist and wildlife educator Steve.<\/p>\n
Terry, along with his 22-year-old son and daughter, Bindi Irwin, host the annual Steve Irwin Gala to facilitate the conservation work of the late conservationist, environmentalist and wildlife educator.<\/p>\n
Highlighting how her husband transformed the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park into the Australia Zoo, the 61-year-old American-Australian conservationist and naturalist said, “Everything started very small.”<\/p>\n
“It was two acres of land, it had some animals, and there was no filming. And so to see where we’ve gone, and to have Steve embrace that, was very impressive,” she said.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on her and Robert’s years-long journey, Terry quipped, “It was a lot of work, it was a lot of sadness. There were a lot of happy times. And it was incredibly special to be able to share it with him \u2013 and keep it going.”<\/p>\n
However, one thing that Robert had but Steve did not have is that “Steve never took his shirt off for wildlife,” crocodile hunter<\/i> The star’s wife made a joke.<\/p>\n
For those unaware, it is worth mentioning that Steve Irwin died on September 4, 2006, at the age of 44, when a stingray barb pierced his heart while shooting an underwater documentary, Ocean’s Deadliest, at Bat Reef, Queensland, Australia.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
