The vCP1A.260505.005 rollout to owners of these phones will begin today, and will continue into the near future. Google detailed a major fix for the issue that’s been plaguing all devices eligible for this month’s update.

Android Central’s Tech

Along with this problematic wireless charging issue, some display issues are also being targeted in this update. The former is becoming a constant for Google, as it doesn’t seem to get rid of the Pixel 10’s continued performance struggles. Whether it’s freezing or flickering, there’s always an issue to crush.

It says that you should find a solution to “Slow wireless charging speed when battery level is between 75% and 80%”. While this update includes all its phones from Pixel 7a to Pixel 10, the company says it also includes Pixel tablets. Elsewhere, the Pixel 10 series is set to get a fix for the camera issue. Google says there have been reports where some Pixel 10 series users encountered freezing “while recording and adjusting the zoom level.”

Article continues below

            you may like

A solution for this is also being released along with a framework fix for the Pixel keyboard. Some users said that freezes would occur several times a day, forcing them to restart their devices. This wasn’t the only display issue, as Google’s Pixels have been plagued with flickering and other issues recently.

Still, Google continues to work hard and that’s all we can hope for. In April, the company started fixing some stability issues with Android 16. Google also focused on the Pixel 10, Pro, and Pro XL during that time, hoping to solve performance issues while gaming as well.

Get the latest news from Android Central, your trusted partner in the world of Android

What you need to know Google has started rolling out its May 2026 security update for the Pixel 7a to the Pixel 10 (tablets included).
