The objective is to limit losses during severe dislocations and remain invested through the recoveries that have occurred historically.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Every few years, the same cycle repeats: growth is slowing, recession risks are rising, equity markets are selling off, and the pressure to act \u2013 reduce risk, raise cash, do something \u2013 becomes hard to ignore.
