The investiture on March 20 renewed a relationship that dates back centuries and last took place in 1977 with Juan Carlos I of Spain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-(18px) md:text-(20px) first-of-type:mt-5 mt-(16px) lg:mt-(28px) leading-(28px) md:leading-8 normal \">After a 50-minute meeting with Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican&#8217;s Apostolic Palace, the king arrived at the Marian Basilica, one of Rome&#8217;s four papal basilicas.
