\u201cI was extremely scared that I would be fired and rehired because I had a big secret.\u201d<\/p>\n
“When I auditioned for the show, I lied to them and told them I was 18.”<\/p>\n
He further explained that his true age was eventually revealed “halfway through the first season”, and he also had to admit that he was married to Jennifer Earles at the time.<\/p>\n
He said, “I remember a senior executive at the network came to Show Night and said, ‘Hey, so you’re 28,’ and I said, ‘I am.’<\/p>\n
“I was like, ‘Yeah, that girl I keep hooking up with? She’s my wife,'” he continued.<\/p>\n
He said the executive’s response was surprisingly pragmatic, although it came with a specific request.<\/p>\n
“(The executive) was like, ‘Any more secrets? Is there something we should know?’ I was like, ‘No.’ He was like, ‘Do you have any kids?’ And I said, ‘No kids.’ He says, ‘Let’s go ahead and keep it this way for a few years.’<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
