This update is intended to be the first major update of the software <em>next <\/em>Its arrival. It&#8217;s a little weird to think that Google is already moving ahead on &#8220;new features,&#8221; but that&#8217;s probably just smart thinking. When QPR1 Beta 1 launched, there were no notable features to discuss. The company mainly focused on fixing problems for the Pixel.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fancy-box\" id=\"elk-c913e02c-60ec-42b7-ad90-8292c3bfa435\">\n<p>Android Central&#8217;s Tech<\/p>\n<div class=\"fancy_box_body\">\n<p class=\"fancy-box__body-text\">Google is wasting no time in building its next major OS along with its new software development. Reliability and refinement are the name of the game for Android 17, which means we probably won&#8217;t see anything explosive. Still, I&#8217;m quite interested in what it&#8217;s working on for the next OS, so refining what we have isn&#8217;t that bad in my eyes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"elk-796cd12d-0464-4805-b25c-b0b7a5f0ef63\">This is largely similar to the patch notes Google detailed this week for Beta 2. We are expecting Android 17 to be released in mid-2026.
