To make matters worse, the battery of many devices began to drain rapidly while idle. As you can imagine, this was a major problem for many Pixel users from the Pixel 6 to the Pixel 10.

Google has vowed to fix this serious battery drain in a future patch. Some users are waiting to see if the eSIM issue is resolved in the May security update, but many have not received it yet. Based on Google’s changelog, no such solution was mentioned for this eSIM issue, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Hopefully, the solution has been found. If not, we may have to focus on June – or a surprise secondary patch later this month.

Get the latest news from Android Central, your trusted partner in the world of Android

Android Central’s Tech

It almost feels like Google’s Pixels are being kicked when they’re down – or injured at best.
