The Hague, Netherlands — <\/span>A bomb sent through a letter slot explodes at the Dutch Prime Minister’s party headquarters Rob Jetten<\/a> But no one was injured, and the centrist leader vowed Friday not to be intimidated by the attack.<\/p>\n

Police said they have arrested a 37-year-old suspect in the bomb blast at the headquarters late Thursday night Centrist D66 Party<\/a> in The Hague, but declined to release any further details, including any suspected motive.<\/p>\n

Jetten said the attack occurred during a meeting of about 30 members of the party’s youth wing, who were shocked but unharmed.<\/p>\n

Jetton, who took office in February, told reporters during his weekly news conference that “It is very futile if you think you can scare politicians with these kinds of actions.”<\/p>\n

Leaders of other political parties joined Jetton in condemning the attacks. <\/p>\n

Center-right VVD leader Dilan Yesilg\u00f6z described the attack on social media as a “cowardly act.” Opposition leader Jesse Cleve of the leftist party PRO called the bombing a “direct attack on our democracy and the rule of law.” <\/p>\n
