Although he is still in the IPL, Rohit Sharma has retired from both Test cricket and T20Is. He is currently playing only ODIs and his eyes are on the ODI World Cup to be held in South Africa next year.<\/p>\n
In October 2025, Sharma was sacked as India’s ODI captain despite winning the Champions Trophy. He retired from T20I after leading India to the T20 World Cup title in 2024. Earlier that year, he was sacked as captain of Mumbai Indians despite leading the franchise to five IPL titles.<\/p>\n
