The victim could not be identified.<\/p>\n<p>After receiving information that a person was facing health problems, firefighters and officials reached the spot at 10 am and provided care, but were unable to save him. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo?fbid=1278381124468972&amp;set=pcb.1278381334468951\">News release<\/a> From the police department. <\/p>\n<p>Sierra Madre Police and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner&#8217;s Department are investigating the incident, the release said. No details were given on what type of medical emergency the man experienced.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday&#8217;s death comes a week after another person was declared dead after falling into a ravine at the Mount Wilson Road and Little Santa Anita fire on the same trail.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, officials did not say whether the man died from injuries sustained in the fall or from a medical event. <\/p>\n<p>According to the online trail review site, the Mount Wilson Trail runs for 14 miles and is described as &#8220;rocky, exposed and steep in many sections.&#8221; <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alltrails.com\/trail\/us\/california\/mt-wilson-via-little-santa-anita-canyon\">AllTrails.<\/a> <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man died Saturday while hiking on the Mount Wilson Trail, the second death on the rugged trail in a week, officials said.
