Yes, capri pants may be on trend right now, but in my opinion, they’re one of the hardest silhouettes to style. Unlike the stovepipe jeans, tailored trousers and soft flares that have dominated our wardrobes over the past few seasons, capris come with a very distinctive, knee-length cut that may seem a little tricky to pull off. That’s why I’m always on the lookout for garments that make them feel more wearable\u2014and this week, the inspiration came courtesy of Claudia Winkleman.<\/p>\n

Stepping into a look that made the divisive trouser trend feel surprisingly sophisticated, Winkleman landed on a styling formula I didn’t expect: capris with white heels.<\/p>\n

Elongating the look with dazzling white heels, Claudia’s dress made a strong case for the return of the forgotten shoe. The crisp white shade helped balance the shorter cut of the trousers, adding a fresh, light feel to the ensemble that kept the capri from feeling too heavy or overly retro.<\/p>\n
