The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is cleaning Six Flags Magic Mountain after a bomb threat, officials said Monday.<\/p>\n

Sheriff Sgt. Mark Perkins said officers responded to the property after a man made a bomb threat against the theme park shortly before 8 a.m. He said K-9 units were also on the way. <\/p>\n

According to the release, the call came in more than two hours before the park, located at 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia, was scheduled to open. website<\/a>. <\/p>\n

California Highway Patrol said on x<\/a> that it had closed access to the park entrance and was assisting the Sheriff’s Department after the park received “numerous bomb threats.”<\/p>\n

A Six Flags spokesperson could not immediately be reached for comment. But theme park said on x<\/a> It was aware of the police activity and was monitoring the situation, working with local authorities.<\/p>\n
