The 54-year-old’s family confirmed his death in a social media post on Friday. He wrote:<\/p>\n
“We are saddened to share the passing of our brother and son, Nicholas Brandon. He passed away in his sleep of natural causes. Our family asks for privacy during this time as we mourn his loss and celebrate the life of a man who lived with intensity, imagination and heart.”<\/p>\n
Just a week before his death, Brendan could be seen talking to fans outside his California home.<\/p>\n
The 45-minute long clip appears to be part of a long-running dialogue by the actor with his audience.<\/p>\n
The most recent clip, which was posted on March 14, shows the TV star shaking back and forth while coughing aggressively.<\/p>\n
“I’ve been burning fires all day because it’s cold… but it’s amazing what it will do to you when you breathe in the smoke,” said Brendan in his husky voice.<\/p>\n
The Buffy star later coughed aggressively, saying: “F*** this stupid smoke. I look like Bane.” <\/p>\n
The video was captioned: “There are some things we need to talk about. Come one. Come all.”<\/p>\n
At one point during the video, the actor started talking about the big show. Buffy the Vampire Slayer. <\/i>“I believe the show should not have ended the way it did,” he said. \u201cSarah (Geller, who played Buffy on the show)\u2026she worked really hard, but in a way she sucked the show.<\/p>\n
He said, “She told everyone she was leaving very late in the series, so (creator) Josh (Whedon) wasn’t ready for it.”<\/p>\n
