A <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/tech\/mobile\/smartphone-upgrade-survey-spring-2026\/\">CNET<\/a><\/em>    The survey representative of US adults made headlines as to the lack of interest in folding phones. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>A recent CNET survey states that smartphone users are not impressed enough with new features and concepts to consider upgrading their phones. Only 12% are inspired by AI integration and 13% are inspired by new phone designs.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>For iPhone owners the figure is actually slightly higher at 14%. <\/p>\n<p>Whereas <em>CNET<\/em> Considering it was of faint interest, personally I found it to be much more than I expected. I have seen a folding iPhone <em>away<\/em> A more specific product would be recommended than these numbers.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, there is always a gap between interest level and actual purchase, and importantly, we do not know how much awareness respondents had of the potential price of the first folding iPhone. Interest levels may drop dramatically once they see the $2000+ price tag.
