Between the constant delays, renders that were clearly copies of other phones, and changes to the terms and conditions, I wouldn&#8217;t blame you if you thought it was vaporware.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"e_e e_Q\">\n<p>However, Trump Mobile has now reported <em><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/tech\/2026\/05\/12\/trump-mobile-t1-phone-shipping\/90046321007\/\">USA Today<\/a><\/em>    It&#8217;s shipping the T1 phone to pre-order customers this week. The phone is currently listed at a promotional price of $499.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"e_e e_Q\">\n<h2>A Long List of Scams and Questionable Claims<\/h2>\n<p>The Trump Phone has been the subject of much delay and controversy since its announcement. For one, the company used renders of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in an attempt to position it as a Trump phone. It was originally promoted as an American-made phone, with Trump Mobile later branding it as an &#8220;American-Proud Design&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"e_e e_Q\">\n<p>O&#8217;Brien said <em>USA Today<\/em> That the first T1 phones were assembled in the US, and that the models would eventually use components made &#8220;primarily&#8221; in the US. I am skeptical of this claim because parts like displays, processors, and camera sensors are largely produced in Asia. However, silicon companies like TSMC and Samsung have opened advanced manufacturing plants in the US, suggesting that processors can indeed be made in the country. Nevertheless, most parts used in modern phones are made outside North America.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"e_e e_fl\">\n<div class=\"e_il e_fu\">\n<h3 class=\"e_iu\">Are you interested in Trump phone?<\/h3>\n<p>197 votes<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"e_e e_Q\">\n<p>Then came the recent changes to the pre-order terms and conditions. The updated language notes that the pre-order deposit &#8220;only provides a conditional opportunity if Trump Mobile later elects, in its sole discretion, to offer the device for sale.&#8221; In other words, the change suggested that these users wouldn&#8217;t get their phones in the first place.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"e_e e_Q\">\n<p>Needless to say, we will wait and see if these phones are actually delivered to customers. But we are also curious to see if this phone is an original product or simply a white-label design from a Chinese brand.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"e_e e_Q\">\n<p>The T1 phone features a 6.78-inch 120Hz OLED screen, a 5,000mAh battery with 30W wired charging, and an unnamed Snapdragon chipset. The phone also has a 50MP main camera, a 50MP 2x tele shooter, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP selfie shooter.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"e_e e_Q\">\n<p>Still, if you want a capable mid-range phone I&#8217;d recommend buying the similarly priced Nothing Phone 4A Pro. Apart from the fact that Nothing is an established brand with a track record of delivering genuine phones, the Phone 4A Pro also has a number of other great features.
