A 12-year-old girl is among five people killed in horrific Russian attacks on Kiev – despite claims from blood-soaked dictator Vladimir Putin that the war is nearing its end.<\/p>\n

There may still be people trapped under the debris.”<\/p>\n Russian forces launched 675 drones and 56 missiles \u2013 ballistic, aero-ballistic and cruise \u2013 on Ukraine overnight.<\/p>\n In the Obolonsky district, the Russians attacked an apartment on the 12th floor of a residential building and there were another 28 victims in Kharkiv.<\/p>\n Notably, Ukrainian forces shot down or intercepted 652 UAVs and 41 missiles.<\/p>\n But they were unable to intercept 15 missiles and 23 attack UAVs that hit 24 locations.<\/p>\n These include general residential buildings, a school, a veterinary hospital and other purely civil infrastructure.<\/p>\n Zelensky vowed that \u201cthere will be an appropriate response to all this.\u201d strikes<\/span>\u201c.<\/p>\n He said Moscow must “feel the consequences of its terror there”.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is vital that there are world sanctions against Russia.\u201d<\/p>\n Zelensky also mocked Putin’s claim that the war would soon end.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cIn total, since the beginning of yesterday, the Russians have used more than 1,560 drones against our cities and communities. <\/p>\n \u201cThese are certainly not the actions of people who believe that the war is ending. <\/p>\n \u201cIt is important that our partners do not remain silent about this attack.\u201d<\/p>\n Putin’s propaganda mercenaries<\/span> Since then it is being shamelessly claimed that Ukraine had carried out the attack.<\/p>\n The Russian war channel Zapiski Veterna made the absurd claim: “They cleverly staged a demonstration in Kiev in which a residential building was allegedly attacked with a missile, apparently having previously rigged the building with industrial explosives.”<\/p>\n No evidence was provided of this effort to absolve the Russian armed forces of horrific attacks on civilians.<\/p>\n The Russians claimed that the Ukrainians wanted to obscure the arrest of Zelensky’s former chief of staff Andrey Yermak on corruption charges, and gain sympathy from the West.<\/p>\n Earlier, NATO fighters rushed to intercept a Russian Il-20 spy base over the Baltic Sea<\/p>\n The reconnaissance aircraft was “flying in international airspace without any flight plan and with the transponder turned off,” the Polish Defense Ministry said. <\/p>\n \u201cOur aircraft intercepted a Russian Il-20 R<\/strong>Reconnaissance aircraft over international waters in the Baltic Sea,\u201d Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinik-Kamiz said.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is another aggressive action by the Russian Federation and a test of our air defense systems.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A 12-year-old girl is among five people killed in horrific Russian attacks on Kiev – despite claims from blood-soaked dictator Vladimir Putin that the war is nearing its end.
