Thoughts on today’s verse…<\/h3>\n

The Holy Spirit gives us great assurance in today’s verse! God is not unjust. Oh, that’s a lot of understatement: God offered an atoning sacrifice for our sins by sending Jesus (1 John 2:1-2). Jesus promised that we can find Him when we seek Him (Matthew 7:7-8; Acts 17:27). God will not forget the work and love we share with others. God has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:10-12). He chooses to keep an eternal record of the good works we have done. We are their people. He claims us. He is merciful and loving, who remembers the good we have done to others and forgives and forgets our sins. Very good! What a great inspiration this is for us to continue maturing into the likeness of Jesus Christ as we become more and more shaped by Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:18).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lord, you are very kind. Thank you. My joy cannot be expressed in words after hearing such a simple and profound statement describing your qualities:<\/p>\n

God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and will continue to help them.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I am so happy, dear father, that I am your child. My merciful brother, through Jesus, I thank you. Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
