(Worthy News) \u2013 Israeli forces struck more than 30 Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure sites in southern Lebanon over the past 24 hours, the Israeli Defense Forces said on Monday morning, as the Iranian-backed group continued attacks on Israeli troops and border communities.<\/p>\n

According to the IDF, the targets included weapons storage facilities, observation posts, and other infrastructure used by Hezbollah to plan attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians. The military said several Hezbollah militants were killed in precision strikes.<\/p>\n

The latest operation came when Hezbollah fired several projectiles at IDF troops operating in southeastern Lebanon on Monday afternoon, setting off air raid sirens in Metula and Kiryat Shmona. Some projectiles penetrated Israeli territory, where they were either intercepted or landed in open areas. There is no information about anyone being injured.<\/p>\n

An explosive Hezbollah drone crashed inside Israel near the Lebanese border in the far west, the IDF said, with shrapnel found in Moshav Shomra.<\/p>\n

Fire flares up again after a deadly weekend for Israeli forces. An Israeli soldier was seriously injured on Saturday night when an explosive device detonated in southern Lebanon. In the same incident, an officer was slightly injured, while another officer and an enlisted soldier were slightly injured.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, the Israeli Air Force intercepted a suspected air target in an area where IDF troops are operating in southern Lebanon. In a separate incident, another air target near Israeli forces in southeastern Lebanon was attacked after sirens went off in the Misgav Am area of \u200b\u200bthe Galilee Panhandle. There is no information about anyone being injured.<\/p>\n

Israel has intensified operations against Hezbollah after accusing the terrorist organization of repeatedly violating the US-brokered ceasefire agreement signed on November 27, 2024. Jerusalem launched a widespread air campaign and ordered the IDF to seize additional areas in southern Lebanon to prevent cross-border attacks.<\/p>\n

Israel and Lebanon later agreed to a 10-day ceasefire on April 16, following mediation by President Donald Trump. The ceasefire was extended for three weeks after direct talks in Washington, DC, and then extended again for 45 days after a third round of talks.<\/p>\n

However, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on 26 April accused Hezbollah of “essentially disintegrating” the ceasefire through continued attacks.<\/p>\n

“Therefore, as far as we are concerned, what obliges us is the security of Israel, the security of our soldiers, and the security of our communities,” Netanyahu said. “We are acting strictly according to the rules that we have agreed with the United States, and incidentally, also with Lebanon.”<\/p>\n
