“There is no fear in love. But perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. He who fears is not perfected in love.” -1 John 4:18<\/i><\/p>\n
Have you ever experienced ‘perfect love’? Have you ever been to a church service or seen a sunrise where you felt completely saturated with God’s love? I hope you have. We can do wonderful things because of the power of His love.<\/p>\n
We live in a world full of fear, doubt and uncertainty. If we live in fear, life becomes a game of avoiding the next mousetrap or faithfully seizing the opportunities God has made available to us. God wants us to live full, abundant, faith-filled lives. (John 10:10) Does this kind of life describe you right now?<\/p>\n
If we’ve ever been burned, it can be hard to take risks. If our parents were not with us when we were growing up, we may naturally assume that God is like that. If love is absent, fear appears. If light is absent, there is darkness in its place. Fear of the economy, money, politics, and health can make us more concerned with the concerns of this world, versus focusing on the One who can provide the answers.<\/p>\n
But, imagine if we could live in those mountaintop moments all the time \u2013 moments where we truly feel God’s love, so that we can achieve all that He has in store for us. Well, we can! God invites us to be in His presence at all times. As His earthly temples, we are His abode. (1 Corinthians 6:19) Often we just need to remind ourselves, and walk with God \u2013 in worship, in prayer, in fellowship with others \u2013 so that our fellowship with His Spirit can be manifested in our lives \u2013 all the time.<\/p>\n
Do you live in fear? If so, ask him to help you. He can remove the barriers between us and Him through worship, prayer, repentance, and the power of His Word.<\/p>\n
“Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever.” -Psalm 136:2 <\/i><\/p>\n
