Police reached the spot and collected the bone. The police findings are not being treated as a criminal investigation, he told US Sun. According to Tucson Police, the bone was determined to be human, but the investigation would be a “prehistoric anthropological investigation.”<\/p>\n
“Whether it’s Nancy Guthrie or some ancient person, you shouldn’t hit them with a stick,” Watson told the outlet. <\/p>\n

Earlier, there had been a public dispute between Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos and FBI Director Kash Patel over the timeline of federal involvement. <\/p>\n
Patel alleged that the bureau was not invited to assist for several days, during which time the crime scene was released and was contaminated by blood splatter on the porch by reporters and delivery drivers, as reported by Fox News.<\/p>\n
“We could have analyzed it in a matter of days and probably got better information or more information,” Patel said. <\/p>\n
Sheriff Nanos denied Patel’s claims in a statement and said his office had notified the FBI task force, and federal officers were on the scene along with Pima County authorities.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
