At the time of writing, Standard Chartered’s boss has already apologized for talking about replacing undervalued human capital with investment in AI, but I don’t think the sense of fear has subsided, given that the DBS CEO put it in more politically correct terms, that a CEO could also be replaced by AI.<\/p>\n
Therefore, there must be some kind of framework for dealing with AI disruption that will, perhaps indirectly, answer the question of whether a person is indeed an undervalued human capital. <\/p>\n
Note that these days, low-value human capital is no longer the usual suspect like blue-collar workers or support staff. Low-value human capital may include lawyers, accountants or engineers, as the value of knowledge has declined significantly, raising the question of what is the point of investing so many years in tertiary education when the knowledge itself is lost.<\/p>\n
