Steven Spielberg shares experience of working with Tom Cruise<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\nSteven Spielberg, who directed Tom Cruise in Minority Report and War of the Worlds, revealed what it was really like working with the actor.<\/p>\n
In a recent chat with Sean Fennessey, the 79-year-old director reflected on his experience working with Tom and admitted that during their collaboration on Minority Report and War of the Worlds, he was outshone by the A-lister. <\/p>\n
“When I came in every morning, Tom Cruise would come in,” Steven said. “I arrive before the crew. So I get to the set sometimes at 6.30 in the morning.”<\/p>\n
He added, “On Minority Report and War of the Worlds, Tom would insist on going over there when I got there so we could map out the whole day… which was really helpful to me.”<\/p>\n
In a recent interview People <\/i>In the magazine, Tom also talked about his approach to developing skills for his roles.<\/p>\n
“I’ll learn a skill, and I know eventually I’m going to use it in a movie,” he said, adding that he was “constantly training” in a variety of skills, “whether it’s piano or having more time to dance. Or parachuting, flying airplanes, or helicopters. The wonderful thing is you’re never there. It can always get better.”<\/p>\n
Tom said, “The wonderful thing is that you’re never there. It can always be better.”<\/p>\n
It is pertinent to mention here that Steven directed the A-lister actor in 2002 minority Report<\/i> and 2005 war of the Worlds.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
