\u201cFor I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not take care of me\u201d<\/em>(matt Mother Teresa dedicated her life to serving the needs of the poor in Calcutta, India. She reveals in the following what she believes every believer in Jesus is called to do:<\/p>\n “It is not enough for us to say:” I love Jesus’ love for us was painful. We are created in His image for great things, to love and be loved. As Scripture tells us, we must \u201cput on Christ.\u201d And so, we are created to be loved just as He loves us. Jesus makes himself hungry, naked, homeless, unwanted and says, “You did this to me.” On the last day he will say to those on his right, \u201cWhatever you did to the least of these, you did As He was dying on the cross, Jesus said, “I thirst.” Jesus thirsts for our love, and this thirst is shared by all, poor and rich. We are all so thirsty for the love of others that they go out of their way to avoid harming us and to do us good.
